Chris Christie Is A Threat To Working Families

Property Tax Increase
While Christie promised property tax relief, New Jersey property taxes are still the highest in the nation and are up 19% under Christie. Working families are paying higher taxes while services continue to be cut. (Courier-Post, 5/15/2013)

Failing To Create Jobs
Christie talks about New Jersey's "comeback," but as of February, New Jersey's unemployment rate was the fourth highest in the country. Under Christie's watch, New Jersey has only regained 33% of the jobs lost in the recession. (The Star-Ledger, 2/26/2013; 3/13/2013)

Vetoed Raising The Minimum Wage
Christie vetoed legislation that would have raised New Jersey's minimum wage from $7.25 to $8.50 an hour and allowed the minimum wage to keep up with inflation. (the Star-Ledger, 1/28/2013; ThinkProgress 1/28/2013)
